In an effort to help event attendees avoid dining alone, the Exhibitor Show offers “Dinner with Strangers.” The event makes group reservations at area restaurants. Sign up sheets are posted in the registration area, enticing attendees not to go it alone. Simply show up to the restaurant and have a built-in dining companion or more.

Guests can have fun and feel like a kid when they are allowed to decorate their own doughnut. To create, set out freshly baked doughnuts. Dip in glaze or frosting. Decorate with assorted toppings such as fruit, nuts, shredded coconut or chocolate candies.

For a simple glaze, use 1 cup confectioners’ sugar with 2 tablespoons whole milk. Add 2 tablespoons cocoa powder for a chocolate glaze

Garnishing a Bloody Mary and enjoying after is half the fun. Set up a few basics for a Bloody Mary Bar such as tomato and/or clamato juice, tabasco sauce and your choice of vodka, gin or both. Include long wooden spears and a variety of olives, pickles, celery, tomatoes and whatever else you might like to adorn your Bloody Mary.
Bacon anyone?
