Festival Flavors

Fueling Fun

This décor in progress took one of Chicago’s fleet of ZipCars and painted by a local artist. The artist worked throughout the day to give the car a colorful, festive feel. The paint was temporary, but this could be an idea to have a permanent application that could be auctioned off as a fundraiser as well.

Fried Foods

What happens when you do a festival food mash up? You get corn on the cob that’s been tempura fried. These baby corns take a festival favorite and coat them in tempura to lightly fry, giving it that other festival favorite, fried food.

Freshly Squeezed

Nothing says summer and festivals better than freshly squeezed lemonade. For a grown up take on the festival favorite, add gin and white wine to make it a spritzer.

Put 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 tablespoon gin in each glass. Add ice and a few lemon slices. Fill the glasses halfway with white wine, then top with seltzer. Gently stir.

Self Portraits

Do you remember those festivals where they paint your portrait? Instead, take a selfie at a Luster photo writing station to create a mosaic of photos, spelling out whatever you or your brand name wishes. This mini-photo mosaic spelled out Be You.
