Our Mission

In 2003, our founder, Kathleen Lin-Hurtubise, known to her friends and colleagues as “Kat”, combined her creativity, work ethic and talents to found Gourmet Cooking Hawaii. Known for its exceptionally well-executed, hands-on culinary parties, the company expanded in 2004 to become Gourmet Events Hawaii (GEH).

With Kat’s passion as a driving force, GEH quickly made a name for itself through full-service event production & catering and unique locations statewide. Innovative working partnerships with some of the state’s most renowned chefs bring incomparable cuisine choices to each event. With a focus on quality, GEH maintains the highest standards of customer service and excellence in the marketplace.

They are the reason we do what we do. Our clients deserve a flawlessly planned and executed event. It’s all about exceeding our client’s expectations.

Our “Recipe for Excellence” contains three main ingredients: 1) Exceptional service 2) First-rate food 3) Creative innovation.

We raise the bar and refine the definition of “Hawaiian Hospitality” by providing service that continually exceeds expectations.

Local first, organic when possible, quality always! Our chef partners are dedicated craftsmen who take pleasure and pride in their
culinary art.

Event production and hospitality are not for the faint of heart.
We are willing to do what other people are not, and that’s what sets us apart. We are obsessed with the details, the finesse of taking care of people.
