A Gallery Showing
The décor is the art and the art is the décor. Who says you have to have an event in a boring plain venue, when you can rent a museum or art gallery and let the art define your décor. Make sure a gallery has a setting for food and drink if you want to serve food, as you don't want that near the art.
As Above, So Below
The lighting for this space is inspired by artist, Salvador Dali. The surrealist artist inspired event worked lighting into the layers of effects. From rose colored lit ceilings, to candelabra inspired LED lights along the walls, and monkey themed centerpiece candles.
Work in Progress
For entertainment, what's better than art in progress. As illustrated in the photo above, the artist is working on an installation by adding strategic color throughout the event.
Art always takes things and adds a twist. This sangria is made with hard or ice cider instead of win.
8 ounces ice cider
4 ounces Grand Marnier
1 apple, cored and sliced
1 orange, peeled, seeded and sliced
2 cups sliced cantaloupe
2 cups sliced honeydew
1/2 inch ginger root, peeled but not sliced
1 750ml bottle semi-dry cider
Combine all sliced fruit, ginger root, ice cider, and Grand Marnier in mason jar or other resealable container. Refrigerate for two hours.
After two hours, remove and discard the ginger root. Pour the fruit and alcohol mixture into a pitcher. Add 2 cups of ice to mixture.
Slowly pour semi-dry cider into pitcher and gently stir to combine. Serve in wine glasses.
